Look Away

He saw her standing at the bar Her skirt was short, her hair was long She raised her lashes and she smiled And he knew He knew she was the one And he couldnt look away Made conversation, walked her home He was the gentleman in every way She gave him her number and she smiled And he knew Knew hed be calling every day He couldnt keep away They found a house, they called it Home The roses bloomed around the door He mentioned children and she smiled And he knew He knew life doesnt get better He knew he must never let it ever Slip away Oooh, dont let it slip away
He saw her standing at the bar Her hair was short, her legs were long She raised her glass to him and smiled And he knew He knew hed live to rue this day But he couldnt look away Look away, look away Dont let it slip away He couldnt look away She was standing in the hall When he finally came home He made a joke, she didnt smile She knew And he knew there was nothing he could say And he had to look away.
