Blackbird

Today I saw the first daffodil And, sitting in a shaft of light A darkling blackbird flung his soul Upon the dawn And I knew then That come what may Its gonna be alright And, OK, maybe I'm alone But this is how I've made my home And its enough that I've come through In spite of you And I have so much life to live And I have so much love to give So I scatter to the wind The gritty dust of broken dreams Lift the veil of romance On this not-so-rosy world I lift my face to taste the rain Gratefully embrace the pain That says I'm still alive Ooh..........
